FREE Parenting Classes Available: For additional information or to make an intake appointment please contact the Parent Educator at  257-4599 The quarterly classes  (12 weekly sessions)  meet the requirements of California Welfare and Institutions Code  16407.7  and have been approved by Lassen County Children and Family Services. FREE Parenting Classes begin in October Child Care is Not Provided Blended Families - for parents and step parents in blended familes (0-18)            Monday's (3-5 pm) - begins October 2, 2006 Common Sense Parenting 5-12 years                                                                      Wednesday's (3-5 pm) - begins October 4, 2006 Infant Toddler 0-5            Tuesday's  (2-4 pm and 4:30-6:30pm) begins October 3, 2006 Parents of Teens 13-18 years            Thursday's (4:30 - 6:30 pm) begins October 5, 2006 Classes will be held at 1306 Riverside Drive  Curriculum includes: Building Self-Esteem Handling Stress and Anger Growth and Development of Children Communication Skills Positive Discipline Personal Boundaries Cultural Differences  We provide many services to the residents of Lassen County some of which include: 24 Hour Emergency Response Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing Emergency Transport, Food, and Clothing Hospital and Law Enforcement Accompaniment Crisis Counseling & Community Referral Legal Aid/Court Advocacy Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Teen Support Groups Parent Education Out-Of-Area Transportation Prevention Programs
